Spirit Airlines: I’m pausing bookings

Spirit recently said there’s “substantial doubt” it can keep operating over the next year—just months after exiting bankruptcy. They’re also planning cost cuts, pilot furloughs, and may sell assets. Because the outlook is shaky, I’m not booking Spirit right now; I’ll route clients to steadier airlines at similar prices.

Already booked on Spirit? No need to panic—flights are still operating. Just make sure your contact info is correct in the reservation, watch for schedule changes, and use a credit card with strong trip protections (or add travel insurance) so you’re covered if plans shift.
